Implementasi Pendekatan Pembelajaran IRA (Inquiry Role Approach) Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Dan Sikap Ilmiah Mahasiswa Pendidikan IPA Pada Tahun Akademik 2010/2011

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkataan pemahaman konsep Fisika Dasar II mahasiswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran IRA (Inquiry Role Approach) dan mengetahui peningkatan sikap ilmiah kelompok mahasiswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran IRA (Inquiry Role Approach) dalam mata kuliah Fisika Dasar II.
This study aims to find out (1) the increase of concept comprehension and scientific atitudes university student of science education in basic physics learning in the academic year of 2010/2011 with used the IRA learning approach. This is a classroom action research (CAR) which has been done in science education study program of UST in even-semester for six months in academic year of 2010/2011. For observing IRA’s model learning process, it is used students university and lecture observation sheet. Instrument that are used in include student university and lecture observation sheet in team study activity and test for postest.
The results of this study shows that: 1) Understanding the concept of Basic Physics II university students using a learning approach IRA has increased. This is indicated by an increase in the percentage of completeness the classical understanding of the concept of the cycle I by 45.2% to 90.3% for the second cycle, and 2) the scientific attitude of students using the learning approach and the IRA have increased in the category good. From these results indicate that the understanding of scientific concepts and attitudes of university students can be developed very well through the implementation of the IRA approach.
