ABSTRACT

This research is aimed to investigate the contribution of principals leadership, schools climate and teachers cleamate and teacher competence to senior high schools teachers performance, and the contributions of principals leadership, schools climate and teacher competence as an aggregate to the senior high school teachers performance in vocational high school Taman Karya Madya Yogyakarta.

This research was designed as an ex post facto research. The population and sample of this research all 62 vocational high school teachers in Taman Karya Madya Yogyakarta. The data were collected by using 4 models of questionaires with 1-4 scales of responses. The ware 101 valid and reliabel total number items, devided into 4 models of the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and simple and multiple regressions.

The results of this reseach show that : (1) there are significance contributions of the principals leadership to the teachers performance, in which the value of probability rx1y is 0.000 < 0.05 and could explain 5.6% variations in teachers performance wich the formula of the regressionline is Y = 60.221 + 0.241X1, (2) there are significance contributions of the schools climate to the teachers performance, in which the value of probability rx2y is 0.000 < 0.05 and could explain 18,5 % variations in teachers performance with teh formula of the regression line is Y = 45.505 + 0,434X2, (3) there are significance contributions of the teachers competence to the teacher performance, in which the value of probability rx3y is 0.000 < 0.05 and could explain 37,9% variations in teachers performance with the formula of the regression line is Y = 29.262 + 0.636X3, (4) there are significance contributions of the principals leadership, schools climate, teachers competence as an agregate to the teachers performance, in which the value of probability Rx1,2,3y is 0.000 < 0.05 and could explain 40.5 % variations of teachers performance with the formula of the regression line is Y = 18.558 + 0.061X1 + 0.168X2 + 0.541X3. This results indicate that if the qualities of principals leadership, schools climate and teachers competence improve, they would give contributions to the improvement of the quality of vocational high school Taman Karya Madya Yogyakarta.
