UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMANDIRIAN DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA DENGAN ‘PEMBELAJARAN MODEL STAD PADA PERKULIAHAN METODE STATISTIK

Abstract

The problem of the development is whether the efforts of learning using STAD model can improve the-student’s autonomy and achievement. The aim of the development is to design and apply the STAD model in Statistics Method lecture in Mathematics Education Department, Teaching and Education Knowledge Faculty, Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, to improve the student’s autonomy and achievement in learning. The researcher did an action research through two cycles. Each cycles consist of : planning, action, observation and assesment, and reflection. The technique of the data collection is through observation, interview, questioner, and test. The researcher analyze the data using descriptive statistics {especially for quantitative data) and using qualitative analyze for the qualitative one. The result of the development is that there is an improvement of the student’s autonomy and achievement to af:plying the STAD model in Statistics Method lecture.
